very different in many ways, Jobs says we make sure others ask but this doesn't answer today's question of does Apple get it and what do they do with it. Also, I'm a little afraid of Rubin's response "to my knowledge there is none but I wouldn't be for it" kind of a freaky thing to get.
We'll find out sooner or later about Apple with the lawsuits and the probe from law makers.

Well, the applications are "portals" into George's world, through which you can contact him to mess with him or be nice to him, it's your choice.
Perhaps the video solves the confusion as to what you do actually do in the application.

Any time I've watched someone getting something fixed at an Apple store they seem to be pretty pleased about the ordeal.
I'm more than pleased. From all the Laptop/PC Companies that I've dealt with in the past, Apple's Support is lightyears ahead in terms of customer satisfaction, customer service, promptly helping users fix issues they may be having, and just overall friendliness of their Support rep's.
Thats standard Apple support. Sometimes they screw up, but I've never had issues with their support.
This is true. Everyone makes mistakes, even Apple, but a real company that cares about customer satisfaction will own up to those mistakes and fix them if they should arise. That is what has happened here. The Apple Support rep admitted that some MacBook Air's experience this problem, but helped to show me how I can go about fixing my issue/getting it fixed at a nearby Apple Store.
Hey SR71 :)
Good to hear! Apple do indeed have fantastic support, and I had a similar issue within a week of buying my MBP. They replaced it no questions asked. Unlike countless issues I had with Dell, and they refused to replace my faulty product! Enjoy the MBA :)
I couldn't agree more! Dell and HP have the worst Support, in my opinion. They're slow to help you with your problems, they are hard to understand over the phone (or at least in my experience with HP they were), and lastly, they don't seem to care about customer satisfaction.
All in all, I'm extremely satisfied and couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Thank you Apple Support. :)

OK, I want a website for business. I want it in my name. I don't expect a huge need for lots of bandwidth (though growth is possible).
I have no idea how to start, from registering the domains, to using my own computer as the site or another, or a 3rd party like asmallorange.
Would a 3rd party have templates, or should I get software to design the pages? should I contract the site out? should I keep asking questions? :p
I have never done anything beyond .mac homepage mickeymouse work, but with guidance could do something pretty well.
I could use some good advice for a novice.

I just had my hard drive replaced on my MacBook Pro. Before it crapped out on me I had everything backed up on my external hard drive. Now, all I really want from the external hard drive is all of the websites I had saved in Google Chrome. I tried but it seems like the options aren't specific enough to restore Chrome and not all the rest of the apps.
Any thoughts?
Thanks...

Best auction ever.. way better then that "we will throw a party in your honor" auction.
I was cracking up at this all morning...had to share with all of you...
The rocket ship was the best for sure..
How fun would it be to go on this "trip" with that maniac? I mean, you know it would be fun..
As long as that guy isn't, like, dangerous.
The best part is that the auction was created by the girl because she wants him off her property!! ha!
Five years ago I would have gone along for the ride...
Life is always more fun when you hang out with crazy people...

I started a thread about a question similar to this and it can be viewed here: (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1139455)
Overall, very positive responses about OWC
I've purchased from OWC in the past. GREAT company for RAM upgrades!
(Though their Mac Pro upgrades are a tad pricey; I'd be better off buying a new Mac Pro than to upgrade my current one. :( )

Okay, about a month ago I was in bad need of harddrive space. I found my email folders were huge so I started deleting old emails that I felt I didn't need to hold onto any longer. Wrong!! I have probably about 20 emails, maybe more from one person that I need to try and see if there is any way I can recover them. Somewhere in one or two of them is an original document that I need to get back if at all possible.
Does anyone know if this is possible, and if it is, how can I do it?
Thanks:confused:

Photoshop newbie here so please bear with me
I've just discovered actions and I had to save myself from swooning. However the one thing I really want to use actions for requires pasting a watermark then moving it to the bottom corner of the image. The images watermarked will be different widths and heights. So far I can only get it to paste at the exact point as the image which I used to record the action. Is there a setting I haven't discovered yet that will let me move it to the corner automatically?
Thanks!

If you're a gamer, and the question is between a Mac Pro or iMac 24" and a PS3, then I'd say the Mac in a heartbeat.
