Trump is a good businessman... which may be good for corporations if he gets elected. IMO though, what we need is a President who looks out for the people, not business.

If you live in the northeast I can tell you definitely there are many places where data coverage goes out - it's just a fact of terrain. There are many places where you would need a cell tower every hundred feet to have complete coverage - and that ain't happening. I'll give you and example - Greenwich, CT has terrible data coverage - this is a rich area, maybe 35 miles from NYC and data coverage is terrible. I've seen it first hand, this not speculation.
I use TomTom - it has all the maps of the US and Canada - it works in the middle of nowhere in the backcountry even without cell or data coverage.
Now - to be out in the middle of nowhere and have the app say it needs data - and that you can't get your street or turning info - well that is just profoundly stupid. They need to have the option to download at least your full region within 200 to 500 miles - otherwise I just would not trust it as my gps system. No way. Case closed.

I have a tv with an iPod dock as a feature that can play video off my iPhone when plugged in (the dock doesn't fit my iPad, booo). I don't really see why Apple would prevent Airplay from being built in to TVs when they have iPod docks. Kind of a no brainer here.
PS: The dock wasn't a factor, it was on sale. Having Airplay might have been a factor.

On your Quad G5? It runs like butta on mine. Did you make sure to use the Combo updater and not the Software Update incremental 10.4.7 updater? I always use the Combo.
I don't know what to tell you. Couple days after I installed 10.4.7 , major issues happened on my quad. I end up with my computer at Apple for repair and 3 weeks later they figure out a combination of 10.4.7 and my GT7800 card were the issue.
Now, I have a new GT card and I use 10.4.6. The kernel comes once a week. So the problem in some way still persist. I hope the new 10.4.8 will address this issue. If not I'll go back to Apple and request a new computer in exchange for the one I have.
I don't know, I love my quad but I have to say I was pretty upset with this whole fiasco. I wish Apple had a loaner program for professionals using powermac. That way we can still productive while the computer is being repaired. I would not mind to pay a little more on applecare to get such a service.

He's a shady character. The bankruptcy thing really bothers me. Once is bad enough. But 3 times? I know how these bankruptcy hearings go and aside from the fact that assets are hidden, other people have to eat the losses.

I didn't say it was wholly genetic, nor do the authors of the book to which I linked. However, to accept without question that we inherit a myriad of traits from our parents (hair color, eye color, height, predisposition to certain diseases, the list goes on) but discount intelligence from that group is foolish in the extreme.
Of course intelligence has a genetic element, and not everyone is equal. However, your intellectual potential may be limited by your genes but you need the correct environment to achieve that potential.
Is it that certain races have a lower intelligence? Or is it that certain races don't get the opportunity to achieve their potential due to their environment?
The problem with IQ tests is they depend on culture and education, they are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. I bet an IQ test of 10 year olds in down-town Bagdad would yield lower results to a test in a the suburbs of a US or European city. Clearly this is an extreme example, but it is hard to get a level playing field to assess intelligence in different people.

Has apple ever officially responded to any false marketing claims they may have accidentally stated? For example - them stating their macbook pro battery life lasts X amount of time, however it really lasts X -3 hours.. and they've responded in an official capacity?
Battery life isn't really anything you can debate, as it largely depends on use, brightness and so many other variables. That's why Apple says "up to x hours".

They really need to completely reevaluate their criteria and make it CRYSTAL EFFING CLEAR what IS and was IS NOT acceptable and then stand by it. None of this 'reject Google Voice because it duplicates functionality' and then 'approve the Opera web browser'. Reject an APP because it 'ridicules public figures' and then plead that the author to resubmit it once he's awarded a Pulitzer...
